This shows the basic layout of the courtroom. The judge sits at the front of the courtroom with clerks to his side. The left table is where the public defender sits and the prosecutor sits on the right. There is a barrier separating the front of the courtroom from the seating. Do not cross the barrier unless asked.Â
The judge will call those in the first row on the right side to the podium first and move to people in the back of the room. After seeing the judge, you will wait in the first two rows on the left side to enter the special services, which will handle paying the fine and community service.
